Ship Remnants


It’s unusual, to say the least.

The waterlogged remnants from half of a 200-year-old ship that sliced through the waters around Lower Manhattan have made their way to the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Laboratory in St. Leonard.

Early this week, the myriad pieces began to undergo a cleaning process that will prepare them for study in an effort to find out just how important a discovery the remains are…. read on!
